Leisure Connections - Link Up With Other Members To Raise Your Profile

This month sees the launch of a new feature on Leisurebrokers called Leisure Connections. It is a simple idea that allows you to request links to and from other member profiles with the benefit of encouraging more people to visit your leisure page and get to know what you do. Our frequently asked questions below help you understand how it works.

How does Leisure Connections work?

Leisure Connections allows you to create links to and from other members on Leisurebrokers. Setting up such links could mean more visitors to your profile. For example, if your profile offers accommodation in Malta, you may wish to link with other activities in your area such as Scuba Diving or Art Galleries to add value to your activity. You may wish to connect with other members in your category and create let's say a small community of artists. You decide.

Do I improve my ranking in my category if I build up a number of links?

Currently this is not the case but this is in our development plan for the very near future. In anticipation, you will benefit from setting up your links now. Don't forget to keep an eye on new members in case there are connecting opportunities.

How do I set up an incoming link?

You need to go to the profile page of the member you want to link to and click on 'connect to this user'. This automatically generates an email to the chosen member. The member must then log in to accept or decline your request.

What happens if I get an email request to have an outgoing link on my profile page?

You will need to log in and accept or decline the request. It is your choice. If you accept, the link automatically activates on to your profile page.

What if I accept a link but then change my mind at a later date?

You must log in. Here you will see all of your outgoing and incoming links. You can delete your outgoing links at any time.

How do I know what incoming and outgoing links I have?

All you need to do is log in and you will see a list of all of your incoming and outgoing links. Here you will also see pending links which you will need to accept or decline.

Can non-members take advantage of Leisure Connections?

No. You must be a member with an activated profile to take advantage of this service but registration is really easy and free for the time being.

Where are the links on my profile page?

Any accepted links will appear at the foot of your profile information. You can click on View Leisure Connections to fast track to the links.
