Shields United FC - Tyne & Wear

History

Shields United FC was formed in January 07' by Gareth Allen who is currently club secretary and manager. The clubs first home is going to be Chuter Ede in South Shields.

The club had bids knocked back from the Jack Clark Park as predonimently that is kept for the cricket and also Filtrona Park, Home of Northern League club South Shields as they need to extend there current pitch. United turned down Temple Park and opted for Chuter as it is close to local pub sponsor The New Mill.

The clubs first team will see Gareth Allen hopefully stear the club off to a good start and promotion from the second divsion of the Northern Alliance League is an absolute minimum target. The club is currently in the process of obtaining sponsorship and are pleased to announce the clubs primary sponsor will be "Natural Resources." Currently re-branding from ESS Recruitment, Natural Resources are a leading supplier of trades and technical labour to the Oil and Gas Energy sectors. (Please see Natural Resources Page in Home menu). As the club is new there is little more to add until time becomes History and it wont be until June / july 07' will the club kick its first ball we will see the success the club will acheive.

The clubs colours were chosen as a result of the team being made up of Sunderland and New***tle fans and there combined colours form our new strip. (Photos will be attached). The badge is simple and is finished off in italic latin wirting which translated means "NEVER STOP BELIEVING..."

The club is always on the lookout for new players and anyone interested is encouraged to call the club secretary whose details are on our website.
